Job Description
The LabVIEW Development Engineer provides expertise to lead and deliver system level solution development for automating testing and data acquisition. The engineer will work with a team of specialists who will be responsible for developing, testing, and supporting electronics boards or sub-systems. Must have demonstrated hands-on practical knowledge in a test development environment. The engineer will help define test requirements and design test infrastructure. The engineer will support designs at all levels, concept through detail design, prototypes through volume manufacture, initial integration through qualification. The engineer will collaborate with a multidiscipline project team on the electrical infrastructure, perform engineering analysis, generate detail designs, and create engineering drawings/documents.

 Education

BSEE or MSEE (Preferred) or equivalent experience.

 Experience

  • 10-12 years Electronics Hardware Development.
  • 5-10 years of LabVIEW Development.
  • Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) and LabVIEW Architect (CLA) Preferred.
  • The position requires highly motivated, extremely organized, and self-driven individuals.

 Required Skills:  

  • Systems level solution development for automating testing and digital data acquisition systems, using benchtop lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, environmental chambers, DC power supplies etc.
  • Thorough understanding of National Instruments’ LabVIEW, MATLAB software and available hardware (TestStand a plus).
  • Automated Test software development, Test Drivers development, integration of test HW and test SW and debugging signal data acquisition, debugging instrument control etc.
  • Good experience in Data Acquisition, National Instruments hardware (NI DAQ), PXI, cRIO, and cDAQ, programming and remote control, Software debugging, Integration, and testing.
  • Develop and support the user interface, control, and data acquisition software for test equipment.
  • Knowledge of signal processing a plus.
  • Communication interfaces such as:  RS232, RS485, CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C.
  • Testing Validation and Verification (V&V) of requirements, Developing and documenting test procedures and report generation.
  • Electronic hardware experience (analog, digital, embedded, or mixed signal) required.
  • Python Scripting a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for testing analog and digital circuits.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
