Role: Senior Engineer specialized in Application Security
Location Preference: Marietta, GA (Remote until client requirement. Be flexible for onsite/hybrid later (with 1-month prior intimation))

Who are we looking for?
The Cyber security delivery team that owns the managed security services for this client, has an opening for a Senior Engineer specialized in Application Security with Qwiet AI, Invicti, and Mend Skills. The resources need to understand pipelines and how to get these application security tools implemented. They need to be able to run these scans and teach the app dev teams to use them. They need to be able to review app sec issues identified and help teams with resolution.
Technical Skills:

  • Developing and maintaining software application security policies and procedures
  • Providing technical leadership, guidance, and direction to the application security team
  • Developing and maintaining documentation of application security controls
  • Implementing software application security controls
  • Designing technical solutions to address security weaknesses
  • Analyzing system services, spotting issues in code, networks, and applications
  • Following security best practices in performing tasks
  • Identify, define, and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware.
  • Install software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions.
  • Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and update company s information security strategy.
  • Educate and train staff on information system security best practices.


Process Skills:

  • Analytical skills and a passion for problem-solving.
  • Creativity to imagine various attack scenarios and outsmart cybercriminals.
  • Five or more years work experience as a System Security Engineer or related position
  • Proven experience developing, operating, and maintaining security systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of operating system and database security
  • Proficiency in networking technologies, network security and network monitoring solutions
  • Knowledge of security systems including anti-virus applications, content filtering, firewalls, authentication systems and intrusion detection and notification systems
  • In-depth knowledge of security protocols and principles
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex problems.

Certification:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified Hacking Forensics Investigator.
