This position will be responsible for supporting Agile Teams duringthe planning, developing, testing, and release of value to our customers byemploying agile practices and lean principals within a scaled agile framework. A Dayin The Life: The essential functions of this role are as follows: • Provide agile andlean coaching to Agile Team and other professionals in ITS with the intent of buildinga generative culture. • Help Agile Teams implement changes in approach processes,policies, and procedures. • Mitigate blockers that prohibit development or testingduring increments by engaging the correct resource(s) that can resolve blockers. •Provide independent voice during planning and refinement to ensure that AgileTeam understands work as defined by customer’s acceptance criteria. • Ensure thatAgile Teams and customer stay within scope as defined in acceptance criteriaduring increments. • Ensure that requests for changes in work during increment arediscussed during problem-solving workshop with customer and ITS and the impactto development and testing during the increment is minimized. Lead daily stand-upmeetings and other meetings, such as an Inspect & Adapt meeting. • Ensuring ITSprocesses, policies, and procedures are followed. • Work with businessstakeholders to drive decision making and timely responses to development andtesting questions during the increments. • Monitor progress of Agile Teams andensure that retrospective feedback is presented to management and adopted byAgile Teams. • Ensure that planned cross-domain work is visible to product ownersand product management. • Ensure that dependencies and enablers that blockprioritized work is delivered to architecture team. • Provide weekly status updatesfor product management and architecture team on the state of development andtesting during the increment. • Continue to enrich understand of agile practices andlean principals through workshops, other learning sources, and certifications. •Report and escalate issues that are not getting mitigated to product management •Performs other job-related duties as assigned The job description is not designed tocover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities thatare required of the employee. What We're Looking For: You're an idealcandidate if you have a BS in Business or an Information Technology degree and/or5+ years of applicable experience in IT or as a Scrum Master. Experience as a javadeveloper or in quality assurance preferred. Scrum Master certification(s) are highlydesirable. What You'll Need For Success: • Intrinsic motivation • Soundunderstanding of how to prioritize your work • Flexibility in working withprofessionals from diverse backgrounds and experience levels • Familiar withsoftware development • Basic understanding of agile development tools, such asJira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, and others • Ability to handle routine and sensitivecontacts with governmental officials, consulting firms, contractors, developers, andbusiness users • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. •Good interpersonal and communication skills suitable for a wide variety of contacts •Confidence and ability to learn on the job and adapt quickly to changingcircumstances • Basic knowledge of the mission and role of DWD • Strongknowledge of Agile Concepts • Prior experience coaching teams in Agile or asScrum Master • Ability to handle multiple priorities • Proficient at refinement, storysplitting, velocity, retrospectives, and other agile techniques. SupervisoryResponsibilities/Direct Reports: This role does not provide direct supervision todirect reports.
