Python and SQL -Tech Lead and Sr Developer

Contract : 6-12 Months

Location : Austin Texas

Required Skill Sets:

  • Experience with Python and SQL.
  • Experience building and maintaining micro services.
  • Experience developing GraphQL APIs and using Kafka messaging between microservices.
  • Experience with Test Automation and Test Authoring.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration (CI/CD) practices and tools (Buildkite).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Kubernetes).
  • Experience leveraging monitoring and logging technologies (Grafana and DataDog).
  • Experience using cloud services such as GCP (GKE, BigQuery, etc.).

Development Process:

  • The team will use an agile development process leveraging 2 weeks sprints
  • Iteratively replace slices of the existing system with new event driven microservices.
  • Frequent (daily) production deployments will be used to deliver value.
  • The existing team will support onboarding. As the new team completes onboarding, they will assume broader control of the project.
  • The team is responsible for creation of automated tests that will validate the behavior of each microservice update.
  • The existing CI/CD process will enable simple and direct deployments to the Google Kubernetes Environment (GKE)
