Role Overview
The Senior IT Project Manager will lead and deliver complex ServiceNow development and implementation projects within scope, time, and budget. This role requires strong expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM), Agile methodologies, and PMP standards, ensuring projects align with organizational goals and ServiceNow best practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Project Leadership: Plan, execute, and oversee ServiceNow development projects from initiation to deployment, ensuring alignment with ITSM processes.
• Agile Delivery: Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) for ServiceNow development teams and ensure adherence to Agile principles.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, ServiceNow developers, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and manage expectations.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to platform customization, integrations, and upgrades.
• Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for ServiceNow initiatives.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain project documentation, ensure adherence to organizational policies, and align with ServiceNow governance standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive process optimization and implement best practices for ServiceNow development and delivery.
Required Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 7–10 years in IT project management, with at least 3–5 years managing ServiceNow development or ITSM projects.
• Certifications: PMP and Agile certifications (CSM, PMI-ACP, or SAFe). ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Implementation Specialist) highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities (ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, workflows). Proficiency in project management tools like Jira, MS Project, Confluence. Familiarity with integration technologies and APIs.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with ServiceNow upgrades, custom application development, and integrations.
• Knowledge of ITIL framework and ServiceNow governance.
• Ability to manage globally distributed development teams and multi-million-dollar budgets.
