Job Description :

The selected resource for this position will bring substantial program management experience to implement this new PMO, requiring the ability to plan how this change will affect the organization strategically, manage that organizational change, and improve processes.  The team will consist of an existing program manager to support the role, a current Project Manager with vast legacy, departmental knowledge, a business analyst, and the CIO. The establishment of a Project Management Office (PMO) will help centralize existing projects throughout the Department, supply the Department with a governed project portfolio, establish PMO project processes, and aid in a culture shift through training, engagement, and PMO successes.   The success of this project will require a time-tested, fully dedicated resource who can pull from a great deal of experience to deliver IDPH a significant win across the Department.  

 

Required Skills/Experience:

·         Program Management Experience – 10 years of experience

·         Strategic Planning Experience – 8 years of experience

·         Process Improvement – 8 years of experience

·         Change Management – 5 years of experience.

·         Organizational Development - 6 years of experience

·         Iterative (Agile) Development – 6 years of experience
