Job Description
· Manage life cycle of network hardware implementation to include requirements gathering, design and ordering. Coordinate and manage the multi-party inputs of device configuration. Tracking, receiving, and on-site handling of network hardware within data center. Data center planning of rack assignments, cable and power extensions, complete rack/stack/cable.
· Liaison to telecom carriers on behalf of Truist partners. Manage implementation life cycle including carrier order placement, design and engineering, delivery dispatch handling, and technician requirements handling.
· Plan and manage WAN/LAN activation to include discovery of in-scope applications and services. Develop and manage comprehensive WAN/LAN implementation plans. Develop and conduct detailed application validation plans.
· Lead cross functional project team with accountability for all project plan tasks. Conduct regular project meetings with core team and drive tasks to done.
· Build and maintain detailed project plan maintaining integrity of scope and design with forward-looking posture for change.
· Track and drive ServiceNow requests including RITMs, C-tasks, Changes.
· Ensure project core team as well as adjacent working groups follow relevant processes including data center specific ticketing and approval processes, design policy adherence processes, and Executive Project Office project delivery process.
· Initiate and drive escalations
· Identify and drive design exceptions
· Ensure successful contracts management outcomes
· 10+ years of experience delivering complex data center infrastructure projects including networking and telecom implementation (5 to 8 years for PM I.)
· General knowledge and understanding of Telecom Carrier and LEC relationship from an implementation and delivery perspective.
· Working knowledge of data center WAN/LAN networking hardware platforms. Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Check Point equipment.
· Proven ability to direct the work of others and drive successful outcomes.
· Experience with network and data center centric MACD.
· Experience with ServiceNow workflow management tool.
· Microsoft Project proficiency.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and others.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business or technology-related field, or equivalent education and related training.
· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
