Responsibilities
- Own perimeter network environments: B2B, Internet DMZ, cloud, and market exchange connectivity.
- Act as SME for cross-platform projects involving Global Markets, Collaboration, Market Data, Compute, Storage, Security, and Data Center teams.
- Support introduction and lifecycle management of strategic networking technologies.
- Engineer new solutions to meet business requirements and scale infrastructure.
- Deliver multiple concurrent projects ranging from small to large-scale deployments.
- Provide advanced technical escalation for complex network issues.
- Collaborate with network vendors and telecom service providers.
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience engineering and implementing networking technologies within large enterprises (financial industry preferred).
- Deep knowledge of perimeter networks, external connectivity, cloud connectivity, security standards, and data center design.
- Strong understanding of network security architectures, authentication models, and encryption standards.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls: Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet.
- Expertise with WAN/LAN, routing & switching protocols: Ethernet, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, PIM, MPLS.
- Experience with hardware/software:
- Cisco Routers & Switches (Nexus, ASR, ISR, NCS)
- Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS, IOS-XR
- Juniper JunOS
- Fortinet FortiOS
- L4–L7 Load Balancers (Citrix NetScaler preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive background in network design, management, and implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong project management experience (cross-discipline, large-scale deployments).
- Hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI.
- (Preferred) Experience with packet-level analysis for performance troubleshooting.
- (Preferred) Automation and scripting: APIs, GitLab, Terraform (IaC).
