Job Title Mobility Support Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX/ Remote
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Responsibilities
· Translate detailed testcase requirements into working Landslide testcases.
· This position requires a strong combination of technical skills the ability to effectively multitask on project delivery and debugging related tasks.
· Provide a consistent interface to the customer for technical and engineering activity.
· Open trouble tickets and follow through with Spirent support and engineering team until issues are resolved.
· Remain active in network implementation and testing activities through project deliverables customer acceptance.
· Primary focus will be 80% technical 20% project management with wireless carriers and networks equipment vendors.
Preferred Product Qualifications
· Intermediate level Hands on Landslide knowledge
o Installation, Upgrade, downgrade, database backup, log gathering.
o Data message flow configuration and modification
o VoLTE Call flow knowledge
o Test case creation, modification, and scheduling
o Debugging skills
· Basic hands-on Vision works knowledge
o Installation, upgrade, downgrade, backup
o Alarm KPI monitoring and interpretation.
o Integration of customer data into analytics engine
o Troubleshoot issues with tests or reporting.
General Qualifications
· Experience as a technical lead on 4G & 5G Core testing and/or deployment projects.
· Knowledge of 4G Network elements and technologies such as: X-CSCF, PCRF, HSS, AAA, SGSN, GGSN, Home Agent, WAP Gateway, DPI Solutions and Billing systems.
· Knowledge of wireless protocols such as: PPP, IPv4, IPv6, Proxy Mobile IP, GTP, Iu, Gb, Radius, Diameter.
· Knowledge of 5G Core concepts. This knowledge should include expertise in 3GPP 5G Standards (Release 15 and 16).
· Advanced technical acumen in 3GPP and 3PP2 Packet Core and IMS network architectures
· Experience interfacing with wireless operators and network equipment vendors preferably in one of the following roles: Sales Engineer, professional services consultant, Product Management or Marketing Engineer
· Strong Troubleshooting and Diagnostic skills
· Experience interfacing with wireless operators and network equipment vendors preferably in one of the following roles: Sales Engineer, Consultant, Product Management or Marketing Engineer
· Excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills.
· Comfortable working remote or onsite at client location
· Experience with Linux and database management
Education
· Bachelor’s degrees in technical focus, or equivalent course work in data and telecommunications with a strong marketing background
