WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
 
• Provide primary support as the subject matter expert for z/OS operating systems and system components; provide direct technical support as needed in the planning, coordination, implementation and testing of releases, upgrades, or changes to z/OS operating system, network, and component software.
• Provide primary support for assigned Independent Software Vendor (ISV) products such as BlueZone.
• Provide support for CPU hardware including planning and coordination of firmware upgrades, troubleshooting efforts and other hardware support.
• Provide mainframe middleware support for CICS® and IMS™.
• Diagnose z/OS platform system and product issues and follow up with root cause analysis.
• Analyze performance issues and assist with capacity planning.
• Assist with system-wide performance tuning to meet required levels of service.
• Oversee system parameters and system libraries management.
• Provide support for technical consultation and inquiries from the other IT technical teams.
• Provide support for new product installation and evaluation as needed.
• Provide support as technical lead on internal team projects or participate on project teams that impact the z/OS platform.
• Provide support for Integration-testing new products with existing applications and user procedures.
• Assist with maintaining and providing technical support for Mainframe Production Control and Support Jobs and monthly Mainframe Job Scheduler.
• Assist with maintaining and troubleshooting mainframe mail and print systems.
Skills/Experience

Experience with z/OS Systems Programming.
Experience with z/OS, JES2, z/OS Unix System Services (OMVS), Storage Management Subsystem (SMS).
Experience with REXX.
