Job Description :
Immediate need for a talented Mainframe Engineer. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Columbus, OH(Remote). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $45 - $60/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • Key Skills:CICS, Z/OS
  • MQ
  • COBOL/Assembler/Assembly Language
  • 5+ years of experience in the support of mainframe infrastructure software products: CICS Transaction Server, CICSPlex Systems Manager and MQ for z/OS in a large-scale mainframe environment
  • 2+ years of experience with COBOL, Assembler, and/or other programming languages
  • Working knowledge of the capabilities and use of CICS TS and installation and tailoring of CICS TS and related products
  • Working knowledge of products used to monitor performance of CICS TS regions and MQ for z/OS
  • Solid analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Experience with mainframe software installation, support, and lifecycle management
  • Skillset with SMPE, TSO, Unix System Services, VSAM, DB2
  • Experience with dump analysis and abend root cause determination
  • Experience in disaster recovery and business continuity support
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills with peers and senior management
  • Highly proficient in diagnosing and debugging application issues and performing problem resolution
  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
  • Knowledge of z/OS Connect EE
  • Knowledge of IBM WebSphere and CICS Transaction Gateway.
  • Ability to work off hours for oncall support.
