Job Description :
Your Key Responsibilities Would Include
Design, implement and execute system test framework and automation for current and next generation of Optical Switching products
Design test suites to validate the functionalities of both hardware and software against their specifications
Validate all system level interfaces such as signals across back planes and power buses, meeting their specifications at different operating environment (worst, typical, best)
Work with diagnostic engineers to define test and debug commands for system level test
Work with development teams such as ASIC/Hardware/Software to identify corner case scenarios and provide test beds
Provide QA for hardware and software releases
Education & Experience Necessary for Success
Knowledgeable of OTN/Sonet/Ethernet systems and have good understanding of how frames/packets flow in those systems.
Demonstrated development or test experience for products used in telecom or networking industries
Knowledgeable with test equipment used for telecom and networking industries such as: Viavi Optical Network Tester, IXIA, SmartBits, OmniBert, etc.
Good test skills and debug skills for telecom and datacom networking systems
Experience with programming/scripting languages such as: C/C++, Visual Basic, Python, Perl, Tcl, etc.
Experience with script-able equipment management formats such as: SCPI, XML, TL1, etc.
Self-motivated and good team player
BS/MS EE, CompE, or CS with 6+ years of related experience or equivalent
