Position : GIS Solution Architect
Location : Los Angels , CA
(Los Angeles – once travel restrictions are lifted, would need to travel to customer. This position )

Responsible:
Evaluates, designs, installs, maintains, and enhances applications that are being deployed as part of Company's GIS applications. The successful candidate provide counsel on most aspects of a systems solution, covering GIS including Desktop GIS (AFES), Mobile GIS and Web GIS. Using their analytical and problem-solving skills, the GIS solutions architect may assist crafting adaptable, comprehensive business solutions appropriate for each client.
Requirements:
The GIS solutions architects must have the ability to work with multiple computing platforms, including hardware and software. GIS Software solutions architects should also have the interdisciplinary background and industry knowledge necessary to work with a diverse range of vendors and company departments.
The position will be capable to perform hands-on GIS application design, programming, implementation, and support for GIS related projects and activities. Is an advisor on alternatives and on implications of new or revised GIS software and applications. This position will require the use of ESRI desktop, web and mobile software & extensions to perform GIS analysis and create professional map documents for a wide spectrum of projects. Assists in recommend optimal approaches to GIS application designs and application performance. Provides expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software design documentation. Help business development life cycle by serving as a GIS product SME to help identify and qualify business development opportunities. Provide end to end solution and design details. Lead development of formalized solution methodologies.
Possesses effective oral and written communication skills. Assists with client, customer, or official contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.
Qualification:
The GIS solutions architects must have a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems or another closely related field of study. Training and certification in GIS solutions is desirable. The successful candidate must have 15+ years of direct experience in the deployment, configuration and management of ESRI GIS systems in an Electric and/or Gas utility environment. Experience with ArcFM from Schneider Electric is a must.
