Position: Sr Data Engineer Our expectation of the Sr Data Engineer will be: Ability to explore structured and unstructured data Create data pipelines that are flexible i.e. to connect to the new and old applications/source of data Reverse engineer legacy data pipelines Identify which data will help us with the digital tools/solutions we are creating. This individual/individuals will help figure out the strategic side of data engineering. Having Python experience is important and knowledge of Azure cloud is preferred though experience with other clouds like AWS, etc. will be acceptable. The Sr. Data Engineer will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of pricing data management, systems and tools. The Data Engineer needs to have technical knowledge of platforms and software technology (PowerBI, R, Python, SQL Server), deep expertise in data science techniques, ability to drive effective support of data analysis and model management, and experience with IT project management practices Responsibilities for this position include: Maintain and update pricing systems and tools with inputs from Sales and Pricing teams Develop and maintain machine learning models used in pricing Coordinate IT initiatives for improving pricing process and tools Maintain cost allocation at the product and customer level; resolve data discrepancies as they arise Perform monthly audits to ensure pricing accuracy Coordinate all data updates with appropriate departments (e.g., marketing, sales, finance, and operations) Standardize data and reporting across businesses and teams to enable consistency and quality control of key business data Manage pricing performance focus and put in place process and routines to drive value Propose new methodologies to demonstrate data to improve existing methodologies Requirements for this position include: Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field 5-7 years of experience performing and performing data mining, data analytics and predictive modeling initiatives Experience with data visualization and data processing tools (e.g., PowerBI, R, Python) Database management skills (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server) Experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms (clustering, decision tree learning, etc Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and accurate usage, etc and experience with applications Demonstrable experience in handling multiple urgent priorities Self-starter with continuous improvement attitude Ability to communicate, influence, and build trust across multiple partner groups Thanks &
