Principal DevOps Engineer Summary:
We''re looking for an "DevOps" engineer to help ensure our solutions are reliable, powerful, integrated, and easy to use. This includes both helping build out new services and caring for existing services. This candidate will be expected to leverage testing tools and frameworks to support the development efforts. The developer will be responsible for working with the application teams to assist in application migration from one APM solution to another. This role is a broad role covering many areas and it is not expected that you will have knowledge and skills in all areas. This candidate will need to be a great collaborator and good at enabling others.
Principal DevOps Engineer Required Skills:
* Experience using JavaScript/Typescript
* Experience working in a high availability cloud infrastructure (Azure or AWS)
* Familiarity with build, release and continuous integration / deployment processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Maven, etc
* DevOps Build and Release Process
* Experience using git for source control
* Infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) and Container technologies (e.g. Docker, Docker Swarm, K8s)
* Have a good understanding of DevOps, SRE concepts.
* Have experience building, running, and providing IT services.
* Have experience with application development, scripting, and/or automation (Go, Python, Java, Groovy, etc
* Be familiar/have experience working with:
* Modern application development tools (GitHub, GitLab, artifact/image repositories, IDEs, etc
* Development pipelines, CICD concepts, and tools. (Jenkins, Travis CI, Tekton, ArgoCD, etc
* Testing solutions. (Unit test frameworks, Selenium, etc.
* Application Security solutions (SAST, DAST, IAST, RASP solutions, etc
* Integrating with SaaS vendor solutions.
* Have experience working in:
* High availability cloud infrastructure environments (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, etc
* Containers and container platforms (OpenShift, Kubernetes, docker, etc
* Environments defined as code (Ansible, Terraform, OpenShift Deployment Configs, declarative GitOps solutions, etc
Principal DevOps Engineer Desired Skills:
* Have experience creating end to end CICD pipelines in OpenShift.
* Have experience deploying infrastructure and services with Ansible.
* Have experience writing OpenShift Operators.
* Understand that getting services running is relatively easy but polishing them and managing them over their entire lifecycle is where the challenge lies.
