The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) IT Group within the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is looking for a Web Application Developer with at least six years of experience to help develop and maintain web-based business applications. Yes No Engagement Length: Through Renewable: Yes No Project(s) Duration: Hours per Week: 37.5 Position Summary: The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) IT Group within the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is looking for a Web Application Developer with at least six years of experience to help develop and maintain web-based business applications. The applications are primarily finance and/or reporting related. The development environment is with a MS SQL Server backend. The developer will be expected to work within a small team and initially work on projects to remediate 2 applications to correct ADA/Jaws issues. Responsibilities: Developing .Net applications in an ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#, IIS, and MS SQL Server environment Developing reports using SSRS Proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML, Visual Studio and Bootstrap Experience working with Azure DevOps Experience working in a SAFe Agile Development environment Solid experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization, using business intelligence (BI) tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik Sense or other) Strong experience with analytical and problem-solving skills The ability to review/proof all code to ensure error-free functionality The ability to meet scheduled delivery dates as defined by the manager Communicates progress regularly against scheduled delivery dates Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills Qualifications: Minimum 6 years of software development experience using ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#, IIS, and MS SQL Server Proficiency with MVC architecture Proficiency in SQL Server database development techniques Proficiency in SQL Server Reporting Services 5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization Experience writing web applications to predefined UI and coding standards Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and Microsoft Teams Excellent writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills Must be self- motivated, well organized and have strong communication skills Well-developed critical and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability as a flexible, process-oriented, logical thinker and team player Bachelor's degree required Former local, state, federal government experience a plus Questions to be answered for each candidate submitted: 1.
