The Technical Specialist is a senior level resource with specialized knowledge and experience in a .Net/C# development.
** Candidate is eligible to work remotely 100% or come on site once the office opens.
***The candidate will need to use his or her own computer until he or she starts working onsite. When the candidate is working full time on site, he or she will be given NCDOT equipment.
The NCDIT-Transportation is seeking an Expert Level .Net/C# Developer for an approximately 12-month engagement for NCDOT’s State Automated Driver License System (SADLS), a part of DMV Systems applications for developing and supporting .Net/C# based REST API services and Web Applications.
The contractor must have extensive experience building and .Net/C# based REST API services and Web Applications. Must possess detailed understanding and experience working with Microsoft Visual Studio, .Net and .Net Core frameworks.
The contractor will work with Business Owners in the translation of customer requests into technical request and user stories, coordinates software release schedules with the Business and Technical Team, develops business requirements, and provides testing and training support. This individual must have proven experience with enterprise level software development programs.
Must collaborate with IT management and business users to translate business requirements into user stories for the development team to implement.
Knowledge of sprint and release planning as required. Ensure clearly defined Acceptance Criteria, testing criteria are captured and followed throughout.
Ability to analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, and business processes. Document the program and project deliverables as assigned. Consult with clients to prototype, refine, and test, and debug applications and processes to meet needs.
Skills:
Must possess detailed understanding and experience working with Microsoft Visual Studio, .Net and .Net Core frameworks.
Strong Experience with C# development of REST APIs, SOAP and Web Apps.
Knowledge of JSON Web Token (JWT).
Experience with ORM tool like Dapper.
Experience with .Net logging tool like SeriLog.
Experience with Git-based repositories and Azure DevOps.
Experience with SOAP UI, Swagger UI and POSTMAN tools.
Experience in HTML, CSS.
Experience with XML/XSL, JSON.
Experience with JavaScript, jQuery.
Knowledge of bootstrap is preferred.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. This may include writing state approved documentation pertaining to projects, procedures, and analysis.
Must be able to lead and motivate others to accomplish a common goal across a team.
Responsibilities:
