Job Description :
Position: Devops Engineer
Location: Remote
Term: Contract
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and/or analyze problems relating to mission critical services and implement automation to prevent
  • problem recurrence, with the goal of automating response to all non-exceptional service conditions.
  • Engage in application performance analysis and system tuning, and capacity planning
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify & implement continuous improvements
  • Investigate issues and respond to customer queries and issues
  • Provide daily support and perform administration, configuration, maintenance tasks for MFT.
  • Responsible for writing, using and updating scripts to automate daily operations
  • Manage code deployments, fixes, updates and related processes
  • Provide support in ensuring that the MFT infrastructure is kept up to date with the latest
  • Must have the ability and flexibility to support and manage our dynamic 7 X 24 Production as well as the
  • other testing environments.

Qualifications
  • Experience in administering applications servers and webservers on Azure IaaS
  • Experience in Azure DevOps Agile/Kanban practices
  • Experience in cloud as well as on-prem installations
  • Experience in pipelines, secure File Transfers, File Transfer protocols, and File Encryption.
  • Experience in Administration: Installation, Configuration, Deployment and upgrading software components
  • Experience with Application/Web Servers: IIS or Tomcat
  • Experience using OS: Windows 2008, 2012 or 2016
  • Experience in configuring infrastructure for high availability (clustering, load balancing), troubleshooting
  • issues within middleware space, tuning Internet/Intranet Web Applications to improve performance and
  • stability.
  • Experience with VB script, PowerShell, YAML or other scripting
  • Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Agile, Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.

Education:
BS or higher degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
Preferred
  • Experience in supporting large scale middleware infrastructure with a full understanding of software SDLC
  • Experience with Linux servers
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues outside of middleware spaces (OS, Network, Database)
