Job Description :
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or other related discipline
  • 5 years experience in utility, cyber security, audit, security operations center, firewall, network, military information security and/or system administration
  • NERC CIP is desired – not required
  • Must have experience processing firewall policy change management tool tickets (e.g., Tufin Secure Change) to evaluate changes for potential compliance violations
  • Knowledge of NERC CIP Standards and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated experience participating in a regional NERC CIP audit, including narrative creation and data request completion, and/or interfacing with internal and external auditors
  • Previous experience working with networking and firewall concepts and/or identity access management products
  • Experience working directly with customers, external contractors, and vendors to ensure project goals are met and/or issues are escalated, classified, and documented properly
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate, analyze, and synthesize large quantities of data (which may be fragmented and contradictory) into high quality intelligence products
  • Experience participating in Risk Governance process to provide security risks, mitigations, and input on other technical risks

Day to Day:

  • This resource will support work assignments associated with
    • monitoring and approving firewall rule changes
    • improving firewall rule justifications
    • further restricting network access to critical cyber systems that are associated with the NERC CIP and TSA compliance programs.
  • Daily activities involve
    • processing firewall policy change management tool tickets (e.g., Tufin Secure Change) to evaluate changes for potential compliance violations
    • inventorying and certifying access rules
    • frequently collaborating with supported business areas such as Critical Infrastructure Operations (CIOPS) and Cybersecurity.
