* Analyze system requirements and design responsive algorithms & solutions,
* Use Big Data & Cloud technologies to produce production quality code,
* Engage in performance tuning & availability engineering,
* Work with team, peers & management to identify objectives and set priorities,
* Perform related SDLC engineering activities like sprint planning & estimation,
* Work effectively in small agile teams,
* Provide creative solutions to problems,
* Identify opportunities for improvement & execute effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or related field (Master''s highly preferred)
* Strong SQL and PL/SQL experience
* Strong programming experience - Python, Scala or Java.
* Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
* Experience with Hive/ Hadoop / MapReduce
* Experience with Apache Spark
* Must have excellent data analysis, design, and development skills
* Experience with performance tuning ETL jobs and data models
* Must have experience in a variety of data delivery methodologies and best practices (i.e. ingestion of large amounts of data)
* Must be willing and able to support application development throughout the software life cycle from requirements analysis and design, through to implementation and maintenance.
