Job Description :
Batch Specialist shall monitor the Child Support Enforcement System (CSES) batch schedule including the scheduling of on-demand jobs and providing support during the batch execution window should issues arise during execution. The Batch Specialist shall implement changes to the Job Control Language (JCL) and perform testing of those changes. The Batch Specialist shall monitor file transfers from the mainframe system that include files to and from CSES along with select files supporting other systems utilizing the mainframe. The tasks required for this role shall include but is not limited to:
Prepare batch schedule for the day (schedule refreshes at 8am MST) including scheduling special data processing projects and required weekend, month-end, quarter-end and annual jobs as directed
Monitor file transfers on the mainframe and STS and troubleshoot as required to verify completion
Monitor, respond to and analyze production issues and incidents during the day
Create, update or migrate JCL code to support batch activity
Support testing efforts by setting up jobs, input files and executing batch in the test environment
Prepare batch logs and other documentation as require
Participate in peer reviews of CR and ticket-related deliverables
Provide on-call support during batch execution window (typically 7:00-12:00pm MST daily, schedule varies on weekends, month end, quarter end)
Assist with other batch related tasks as required
