JD:
Client are in the process of expanding on the main application (Azure) platform as a service offering. This is “commercial grade application” where quality is focus.
What core skills are required? 6+ years of dev experience.
Event Driven Architecture
SasS/PaaS development experience
Microservice development
Messaging Experience (Kafka, RabbitMQetc
Experiences or strong understanding of Real Time Data Streaming concepts
Web Services development- Specifically, REST API’s (developed API from scratch)
Developing these API’s in Java (Spring Boot)
Experience performing API management tasks on Azure or AWS.
Performing API operations on a NoSQL database
REST Services
Why are these specific skills important? The client has some messaging services in place, but this person will be building on that, developing API’s, standardizing calls (REST Services), and working under tight deadlines with not clearly defined requirements. This will require the person to think outside the box and be proactive. Commercial software development environments are typically like this.
