Title: Core Analyst (AS400) [XTGL_]
Location: Fresno, CA (Remote until Covid 19)
Type: 12+ Months Contract / Contract to Hire
Purpose: Monitor, evaluate, and maintain the Bank’s core suite of software application products.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Administer the configuration, performance, and security of core applications, including product base configuration and definitions (common file). Establish and update user access and permissions.
- Respond to and manage application issues or help tickets. Troubleshoot, replicate, and submit reports on any potential issues. Coordinate the implementation of solutions to resolve core application problems.
- Monitor work orders and evaluate feasibility, cost, risk and impact. Coordinate the implementation of approved solutions.
- Track and test new release/patches. Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements, and design test coverage plans.
- Collaborate with various project teams when the implementation of new products or services, system conversions, or acquisitions will require integration with or update of the core applications.
- Perform necessary follow-up with business partners to ensure new or modified system functionality is performing satisfactorily and requirements have been met.
- Maintain documentation relating to the core applications, including procedures, user manuals, release, upgrade and patch notes, problem/resolution logs, vendor and inter-department correspondence, training, etc., that supports operational and compliance objectives.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- IBM AS/400 iSeries experience
- IBM CL Programming experience
- SQL and DB2 database and query experience
- Fiserv Premier Core Applications experience
- Database analysis and design
- Network & system administration
- Data warehousing
- Project Management
- Knowledge of applicable federal/state banking regulations
- Strong computer proficiency including Windows and Microsoft Office Suite products
- Familiarity with online banking and bill pay systems
- Ability/skills to research, analyze, interpret and explain complex technical concepts, diagrams, and information
- Effective business writing skills
- Aptitude for detail and organization
- Professional and service-oriented verbal communication skills
- Good judgement, decision making, and problem solving skills
- Availability for weekday, evening, and weekend work schedules
Experience and/or Education:
- Six months of experience working with core applications and other banking products within a banking environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or equivalent training/experience, preferred
