Team PSB, Release Train Engineer (RTE) 6-Month Contract-to-Hire | Pittsburgh, PA (Onsite) Core ResponsibilitiesProgram Execution & FacilitationFacilitate Agile Release Train (ART) processes, ensuring successful program execution and software deliveryLead ART-level events: Program Increment (PI) Planning, Inspect & Adapt (I&A), Scrum of Scrums (SoS), and System DemosManage and optimize the flow of value through the ART, identifying and removing impediments to team velocityPlanning & StrategyDrive PI planning readiness through pre-PI activities including backlog reviews and preparedness assessments with Product Management, Architects, and Epic OwnersCollaborate with Product Management to prioritize the ART Feature Backlog, generate Vision, and build RoadmapsCoordinate cross-train and cross-functional dependencies across multiple ARTs to ensure seamless value deliveryMetrics & Continuous ImprovementTrack execution of features and capabilities through ART-level metrics (predictability, quality, velocity)Produce and present PI progress reports, quality indicators, and impediment tracking to leadershipDrive relentless improvement via post-PI Inspect & Adapt workshops and retrospective facilitationRisk & Impediment ManagementProactively identify, manage, and escalate risks and dependenciesPartner with Scrum Masters to resolve team-level blockers and promote high-performing team dynamicsExercise servant leadership to empower teams through transparency and continuous learning Required QualificationsExperience & EducationBachelor s Degree (BA/BS) from an accredited institution7+ years of related professional experience (14 25 years of overall experience preferred)Minimum 7 years in project management or agile program delivery rolesCertifications (Must be current)PMP (Project Management Professional) RequiredSAFe RTE (Release Train Engineer) or SPC (SAFe Program Consultant) certification preferredDomain & Technical ExpertiseBanking/Financial Services Domain Experience MANDATORYDeep expertise with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Lean-Agile principlesDemonstrated experience facilitating Scrum, Kanban, and XP methodologies at enterprise scaleProven track record managing Scrum Masters and coaching agile teamsAdvanced understanding of Agile Release Train mechanics and PI executionProfessional SkillsExcellent project management, organizational, and analytical capabilitiesExceptional written and verbal communication skills ability to influence across all organizational levelsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate complex enterprise environmentsDetail-oriented with high capacity to multitask in fast-paced settings
