Please find the below job description and let me know, Position: Sr. Enterprise Architect OTT Location: American Fork, UT Duration: Contract- 6+ months Client: Vymatix Interview Mode: Skype/ Telephonic / WebEx Legal Work Status: H1/EAD/ GC/ Citizen Experience: 12+ years Primary: This role is responsible for architecting modern distributed systems in OTT domain. Specifically this role will be responsible for architecting, designing and overseeing the software development and system integration architecture in response to the industry demand and product roadmap. While this role will involve a lot of context switching, it would also be equally challenging, providing the opportunity to build highly distributed, highly available, highly scalable applications in the cloud, used by millions of customers. This is a dynamic role that will require the individual to lead and be accountable for end-to-end software architecture and high level design. Understanding business processes and the impact solutions have on the business is key to the role. The role also requires developing good relationships with the internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, as well as having expert skills and a strong understanding of agile software development and lean architecture practices. Hands on experience is a key to success Basic Requirements: A successful Senior Enterprise Architect will: Be available to work onsite out of our American Fork, UT or Englewood, CO offices Have a 4-year college degree in Computer Science / Information Technology, master's degree is preferred or equivalent professional experience Deep domain expertise in streaming technologies, protocols, codecs and standards. Have 15+ years of professional experience and solid understanding of architectural patterns, design patterns and hands-on knowledge in applying these concepts to practical problems Experience in working with distributed systems and building/maintaining highly-available applications and services, preferably on a cloud platform such as AWS, Google Cloud, or other hybrid cloud environment Experience in building low latency video streaming application(s) Strong knowledge in video codecs, players, transportation, packaging, transcoding, and CDN Ability to systematically analyse and break down requirements to provide scalable architectural solutions that fit into the long term architectural roadmap Solid written and verbal communication skills and the ability to articulate architectural details to stakeholders at different levels (executive, technical and non-technical) through UML diagrams, crisp documentation and white-boarding as required Experience in building and managing micro-services based applications, with a solid understanding of the challenges presented by the architecture including inter-service communication, service discovery, distributed log collection, monitoring and independent scaling of services, etc. Hands-on experience in building, designing and using web services, preferably REST APIs Understanding of API gateways, API lifecycle management and other considerations such as throttling/rate-limiting, secure access, etc., preferably with hands-on experience on Nginx and/or Apigee Understanding of application security considerations including regulations around Personally Identifiable Information, controlling access to services, financial transactions, etc. Experience working in an Agile environment and the ability to work in a constantly evolving project, without losing sight of the requirements or the overall vision Thanks & Regards, Rex Thomas | US IT Recruiter AVTECH Solutions Inc.
