Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

Extensive Red Hat experience

Red Hat Satellite Server experience

Either Tripwire or Tenable SecurityCenter experience

Jira experience



Description:

Our client in Holyoke, MAhas a 12 month Onsite contract opening for a Red Hat LinuxAdministrator.

Will be responsible for planning, coordination, and execution of patchmanagement operations for Red Hat Linux, and third party applications.

In addition to patch management operation, the position will focus onmaintaining security for the Linux fleet by responding to Tripwire, Tenable andother security reports.

Ideal candidates will exhibit an attention to detail and have the ability toorganize and execute activities on a strict timeline.

Individuals must be comfortable coordinating activities across multipleapplication support and business units.

Strong verbal and writing skills are required.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Review and ensure all Vulnerability assessments are mitigated within definedwindows of execution
- Configuration and support of Red Hat Satellite Server
- Spearhead efforts around the maintenance of defined patch levels for allapplications, as well as provide timely compliance status reports to management
- Participate in clients change management program by authoring the requiredchange management paperwork
- Maintain compliance and other procedural documentation in order to meet NERCCIP and SOC1 compliance requirements
- Coordinate downtime and outages to applicable systems with application andbusiness support areas
- Apply Red Hat Linux and 3rd party patches in the required compliancetimelines
- Provide troubleshooting support for patch related issues, escalating toappropriate support teams as needed.
- Work closely with systems engineers and compliance personnel to successfullymaintain reliability and compliance metrics
- Where applicable, improve overall efficiency and scalability of patchoperational procedures and task

Experience
- Project management experience developing timelines, recording tasks, and executingwork utilizing Jira
- Linux systems (Red Hat 6-8)
- Red Hat Satellite Server 6.x
- Tripwire
- Tenable SecurityCenter

Education/Certifications Required:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
