Job Title: Sr. Data Modeler

Responsibilities:
Design analytical models that advance business stakeholders' ability to assess the impact their products
Serve as the liaison between business, technology, and enterprise data governance teams
Plan and design database changes necessary for data conversion, tool configuration, data refresh or migration, or other initiatives related to large application development projects.
Responsible for designing logical and physical models in Aurora Postgres
Work with business and application/solution teams to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual/logical/physical data models
Work proactively and independently to address project requirements and articulate issues/challenges to reduce project delivery risks
Work with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows
Requirements / Qualifications:
6-8 years of experience in performing Data Modeling in an enhancement and maintenance environment
2+ years of experience in performing Data Modeling in Postgres and in AWS Aurora Postgres
Must be able to draw up a data lake design and implement it as well
Must be able to confirm the data models to EDG (enterprise data governance) standards
Experienced in Physical data and Logical data modeling
Experienced in using ER Studio & Oracle PL/SQL
Proven hands on experience creating tables and database objects in Aurora Postgres
Prior experience mapping data/tables/data types between Oracle DB and Aurora Postgres
Must be able to design logical and physical model in Aurora Postgres
Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong analytical, data profiling and problem-solving skills
