JOB DESCRIPTION :
Role: Quality Engineer
Location: Dayton, OH
Job type: Full Time
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
5 years of hands-on experience with inspection of electronic, mechanical, and/or electro-mechanical components and assemblies.
Creating/handling in-process/final inspection requirements
Inspection of Electromechanical Components and assemblies.
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
Mechanical measurements using scales, calipers, and gauges
Aerospace industry standards AS9100, AS9102, and AS9145
Knowledge of IPC & J Standards
Creation and maintenance of inspection criteria
Addressing non conformances
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Strong oral, written communication skills, excellent customer relationship building skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Preferred qualifications
Strong convictions regarding quality, safety, and processes; tempered with flexibility to meet needs without compromising requirements
Strong attention to detail
Ability to provide assistance or direction to other personnel, as needed
Experience with aerospace industry standards AS9100, AS9102, and AS9145 (APQP)
Experience working on electronics/electromechanical assemblies
Understanding of ESD protocols and practices
Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
Expertise in standard Microsoft Office programs
Understanding of root cause & corrective action methods
Proven analytical and organizational abilities Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
Experience reviewing / generating FAIs in accordance with AS9102
Quality auditor experience is a plus (Not preferred)
IPC J-STD 001/610 and 620 certification
