    • Job Qualifications
       
      • Bachelor of Science degree required, math, statistics, materials engineering or related field preferred a plus.
      • At least three to five years of experience in the manufacturing or food and beverage industry preferred.
      • In depth knowledge of glass forming and packaging processes a plus.
      • Solid understanding of current GMPs, HACCP, HARA, pest control and allergen control. Expertise in GFSI standards (BRC, FSSC22000, SQF, etc.) a plus.
      • Strong understanding of VPO Quality Pillar policies and procedures.
      • Six Sigma Green or Black belt certification preferred.
      • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills (Communication both verbal and written) required.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
      • Strong Microsoft Office understanding and digital literacy required.
      • Ability to relocate within the U.S.
      • As the Quality Assurance Manager at our Newburgh Can Plant you will be:

        • This position will support Quality and coordinate initiatives in the Newburgh Can Manufacturing Plant that will ensure integrity in Quality procedures and certifications according to agencies/government regulations/Quality Pillar.
        • Considered a domain expert on food safety laws. Interact with government agencies/officials on food safety issues and inspections for the Plant.
        • Primary responsibility for tracking and monitoring all Quality critical metrics including Food Safety, DMR's, Consumer Complaints, etc.
        • Own the continuous improvement of Quality policies and associated critical metrics in support of the Management Quality Pillar.
        • Collaborate with the Innovation and Technology Development (I&TD) group to ensure the safety and quality of new products and processes introduced in the Plant.
        • Lead the continuous improvement of our operations through the effective implementation of Corrective and Preventive actions (CAPA) of GMP and HACCP audits in all zones.
        • Lead efforts in the Plant to improve Quality and the effectiveness of plant cleaning and sanitation programs. Evaluate new suppliers of products and equipment in order to reduce costs and improve results.
        • Perform audits of Management System Quality Pillar in the can plant.
