Job Responsibilities:
Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback for any corrections and track quality assurance metrics.
Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases and present for the agile team to review and estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality testing activities within the sprint.
Responsible for supporting the certification team in end-to-end regression testing to provide best-in-class connected vehicle ecosystem
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs and use various high-level tools and databases in testing, triaging, trouble shooting, and error analysistools: Graylogs/T3/T3 bridge/AWS systems(lambda function, glue job, S3 bucket, event web hook, platform notification services, Kibana Logs)/ Gateway logs/cerebrums platform services/ Salesforce/ SFTP servers/Advanced SQL queries for DB validation)
Responsible for interfacing with research and advanced engineering teams to bring new connected vehicle concepts into production
Collaborate daily with an Agile teams and work with software developers, database architects, application, and systems engineers to test the new functionalities/system and to break-down any issues or impediments relating to Connected Vehicle systems.
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs and validate the business requirements
Investigate the root cause of non-conforming software and help developers with rectifying the issue and validating the fix.
Run the developed automated test cases for regression/sanity testing in the lower environments
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts in HP ALM
Use the SQL queries for system integration validation which requires Advanced knowledge/experience of SQL and scripting for data validation and verification in data bases for business requirements and use cases validation
Test the vehicle services on real vehicles and TMU simulator devices to verify the connected vehicle services are operational and conforming and involve Strong knowledge and experience of in-vehicle as well as test bench components in auto industry and knowledge of wireless networks/technology(DTMF, SMS, HTTP), vehicle sub-systems and security principle to rectify and issues or bugs.
Vehicle services testing also require knowledge and experience of session control protocols used to communicate with the vehicle involving deep understanding of session management, handshake configurations, voice termination/voice re-connecting procedures used for communicating with the vehicle for debugging the systems and verify compliance and
Test the cloud based back end systems such as Salesforce/Supply chain/CPS which requires in depth knowledge of cloud-based application integration, enterprise application integration, and service-oriented architecture principles such as AWS (Amazon web services) and various components involved such as S3 buckets, Glue jobs, lambda functions, step functions, Dynamo DB’s involved in the AWS.
Test the IVR (Interactive voice response) and PBX (private branch exchange systems) to validate the use cases involving the voice call coming from the vehicle and the proper routing of the calls as per the defined business requirements.
Knowledge of network technology such as CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) and GSM (Global System for Mobile communication - FDMA and TDMA)
Strong knowledge REST and SOAP API’s used for testing various services call from the vehicle and mobile App or customer web portal, web services and various components internal to the company that uses API’s for communication
Strong understanding of FTP (file transfer protocols) used to transfer data to FTP servers. Knowledge of SFTP servers (SSH file transfer protocol) used to provide secure file transfers over SSH as these directories are uniform and machine readable and used for transferring files as per the business requirements
Knowledge and In depth understanding of 3rd party billing tool ZUROA which handles all subscription related information and integrated with various systems such as salesforce, CPS (Cerberus platform stability)
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements for the position of Quality Assurance Engineer
Minimum Education a Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Experience – Three (3) years of experience.
