Job Title:  QA Manual Tester
Duration: 2+ years
Location: San Francisco Bay Area Locals (Remote)
Visa Status: GC, GC EAD, H4 EAD or USC
Rate: $40/HR on C2C

This resource must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Responsibilities:

Management and execution of test scenarios and test cases and, where possible, develop and execute automated test scripts to verify software functionality and adherence to business requirements.
Ability to create test plans and detailed test cases by analyzing requirements, setting up test environments, understanding and executing test scripts with little supervision.
Quickly learn and understand front-end and back-end applications to ensure quality testing is executed.
Give input on creating test plans and ensure all scenarios are covered for functional, integration, and regression testing.
Update and maintain traceability matrices to ensure test coverage.
Give input into the creation of necessary test data prior to test execution; ability to perform queries and table updates to create test data.
Capture and communicate the results of testing accurately and clearly; participate in defect triage meetings.
Provide accurate report of test progress to the management team and follow up with development team on defects; participate in root cause analysis discussions for all defects.
Work with members of Business Analysis, Application Development, and Project Management to assure timely completion of testing plans.
Meet aggressive deadlines while also ensuring quality changes are released into production
Efficient in performing data analysis with large datasets and capable of solving loosely defined problems.
Read/write/execute SQL queries to validate inserts, updates and extracts from a SQL Server/Oracle database.
Leverage various toolsets to test Web Services or Rest Services (API testing ex: vrest, SoapUI or Postman).
Perform various types of testing, including functional, Load, Regression, and Integration
Identify test data, execute the test cases and report defects. Good experience with various defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla).
Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaborative team environment and technical documentation.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting or debugging skills to resolve technical and business issues.
Manage priorities in a highly dynamic environment by working closely with the Supervisor and the team’s Project Manager.
Working experience in HealthCare industry is highly desirable.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or similar required (minimum).
A minimum of 8 years’ QA experience, including 5 or more years of manual testing
Strong experience with RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and database query writing/execution.
Strong experience testing software at API level using SOAP UI, Postman, REST Client.
Working experience in a data science environment with strong knowledge of Statistics/Heuristics.
Hands on experience of using data analytics, data visualization tools such as Tableau.
Experience testing standalone, web, backend systems and/or mobile applications.
Expertise in testing methodologies, test plans and test case development.
Well versed with defect reporting process.
Experience writing and maintaining test cases and related documentation.
Experience in automation tools such as Selenium Web Driver or similar tools.
