QA Tester - Chelsea, MA

GENERAL INFORMATION:
1. Title: QA Analyst
2. Job type: Remote – Work from home
3. Location: Chelsea, MA - After Covid if the candidate is willing.
4. Job type: Contract role
5. Pay terms: Open
6. Rate: $40/hr AI on C2C/1099 - Fixed and non-negotiable
7. Visa: Open
8. Level: Senior
9. Priority: Very High
10. Interviews: Telephonic and/or Skype
11. This should be a long term contract
12. Day 1 come onsite to pick up the laptop then work from home, then onsite once COVID is over.
13. We will be looking for candidates ideally in the MA / New England area

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE VISISBLE ON THE RESUME:
1. Extensive SQL Querying and interface validation with XML messages (essentially just XML)
2. Database validations using tools such as TOAD

Major Responsibilities:
1. Review Use Cases , Business Scenarios and Technical and Design Specifications to create Test Cases; Creation of detailed Test Scripts and procedures to manually validate feature functionality and system integration
2. Analyze requirement and have ability to provide test approach, impact and test estimates; Define the appropriate Test Cases and Test Scripts to ensure test coverage based on construction iteration plan
3. Test execution activities including Smoke Test, End to End Test, and Regression testing; Reporting daily test activity progress for roll up into test team progress summary reports
4. Gather, create and manage test data needed for test execution; Assure test asset traceability to requirements and other applicable design artifacts
5. Defect reporting, defect triage and follow through to resolution; Maintain and archive test assets within the Jazz tool; Interact with the client and other stakeholders on the project

Experience Required:
1. Strong analytical, communication and documentation skills; Experience in iterative software development life cycle methodologies; Exposure to testing architectural significant scenarios; Extensive test case creation and test execution experience using tools such as Rational Quality Manager
2. Experience with complex order of operations related to batch schedule processing; Experience with web based application and browser testing; Extensive SQL Query Skills for database validations using tools such as TOAD; Experience with interface validation using XML Messages
3. Experience with document scanning, storage and retrieval solutions; Experience validating Reports generated from a data warehouse using tools such as Cognos; Ability to articulate and document defects and/or issues in a clear and detailed manner
4. Experience with creating daily validation progress reports; Experience with testing product or software version upgrade; Experience in performing Database Testing Automation experience would be highly desirable

JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. The client has an immediate need for contract positions to assist the Quality Assurance Lead Test Manager in execution of testing of the upgraded software components.

Skills Needed:
1. Be a quick learner; Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with fellow testers, developers, and QA management.
2. Demonstrated flexibility to meet timelines generally associated with technical test schedules ( including off hours)
3. Organizational skills needed to maintain, archive and retrieve test assets efficiently; Highly analytical, needs to independently analyze test results and be confident with recommendations
4. Ability to multitask during an iterative system development lifecycle; Exposure to using IBM Jazz tools or Rational Req Pro., is preferable
