Job Title: Python developer
Work mode: Remote EST
Contract: Long Term Contract (1+Years)
If local, they go in on Tuesdays but can sit anywhere preferably NO West coast or 3 hours behind no PST.
They have a 10am Stand-up every day.
Description:
- This role is mainly bug fixes, feature enhancements, and production support (not all developers will want to do this). And the candidate must be strong within a serverless environment in AWS as they have an event driven architecture where data comes into the S3 bucket, from there it triggers SQS and messaging, then there are a bunch of step functions and lambda's in the environment as well.
- No front end is needed. This will be back end focused. Although, not back end in the traditional sense, as she mentioned they have an API team that will be handling most of that aspect. Her team simply invokes the API's created by the API team.
2 fold Focus:
1. Transition everything from Kingland back to Finra infrastructure, code base, etc.
2. Bug fixes and enhancements to meet the needs of the users.

Responsibilities:
Top 3 skills:
1. Pure Python coding
2. AWS S3, Q topic, A lot of Lambdas
3. Excellent comm skills and willingness to work with business folks to transfer the requirements to the code base.
PLUSES (but not a big part at all):

Also, no ML or AI at least yet.
Not API focused at all there's a separate API team
