Position :- Protocol Support Engineer

Key Mandatory Skills:-

Good working knowledge of 3GPP 4G/5G protocols (L1/L2/L3
Good working knowledge of IMS protocols including IR.92, IR.94, RCS
Experience with mobile device testing and script development on test equipment
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:- (Including level of responsibility where necessary)
As a Protocol Support Engineer based in San Diego CA you will have responsibility for providing technical support for ME7834NR Wireless Protocol Test System to ensure next generation 5G devices conform to industry and operator specifications. Project assignments will focus on 5G NR as well as 4G LTE and VoLTE/VoNR technologies. Weekly activities will include onsite technical support at major chipset vendor, product regression testing against leading edge 5G chipsets, root cause analysis for failed tests. Opportunities exist to help development team integrate latest test cases with chipset partners.

Key Responsibilities include:-
· Assist customer to perform regression and internal verification testing using Anritsu products
· Investigate customer-reported issues, identify root cause and propose fix
· Coordinate support issues with international development team
· Opportunity to work with development team to integrate and debug leading edge test cases prior to commercialization
· Clearly communicate status, roadblocks, accomplishments, and provide recommendations
· Demonstrate system capabilities and solicit customers’ feedback for future considerations

JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:-
· BSEE/BSCSE/BSCE/BSCS/Telecommunications or equivalent required.
· Good working knowledge of 3GPP 4G/5G protocols (L1/L2/L3
