Knowledge, Skills and Expertise
Proven project management experience on progressively challenging projects. Minimum of 7 years of project management specific work. Thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management profession and discipline. That includes project management phases based on PMBOK:
Initiate
Prepare: definition/scope/requirements
Executing: monitoring and control around status reporting, deliverables, Q/A, transition planning, etc.
Implementation/Go Live
Close: completion and assessment
Working knowledge of project management tools and artifacts how they can be used to manage information, processes, and stakeholders (i.e., RAID log, status reporting, project schedule, PCR – project Change Request, etc.
Understanding of IT organization and operations knows the context of how the project fits into that landscape experienced working in large, global, complex organizations with matrix management structures.
Strong and tested project management skills with stakeholders (e.g., sponsor, steering committee, customer Understands who the client is and what the client’s needs are; provides realistic expectations; establishes specific customer satisfaction standards and actively monitors client satisfaction.
Strong MS Office skills especially Excel and PowerPoint. Above average communication skills – written and verbal. Will need to be comfortable presenting to results and status wide variety of stakeholders Detail oriented. Pays attention to the finer points of the work making sure project participants are aware of commitments.
Responsibility & Accountability Prioritizes work and anticipates consequences of actions, potential problems, or opportunities for change. Sets, maintains and meets realistic deadlines. Forecasts changes and communicates current and projected issues with quality, scope, or schedule.
Effectively communicates any changes to baselines. Lead and/or facilitates planning and/or implementation of work activities, as required to achieve organizational objectives.
Creates within the team a shared focus on the importance of achieving results, as required.
Works under the discipline and guidance of corporate PMO standards and tools.

Desired:
PMI certified (PMP, PgMP, etc
Leading large enterprise wide projects that requires communication, change management and coordination
Experienced managing projects around organization risk initiatives, GRC processes and controls, Privacy, or Policy development.
Regulated industry experience: Pharmaceuticals, Medical Device or Healthcare
