Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead high-visibility, complex project initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience managing large-scale programs within State and government agencies, demonstrate strong stakeholder management capabilities, and consistently deliver projects on time and within budget in compliance with federal guidelines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management across all phases, including planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out.

  • Lead and manage Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) – Level 4 stages.

  • Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.

  • Oversee cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment with program objectives and contractual requirements.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.

  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively manage issues.

  • Prepare and present project status reports, briefings, and required documentation for internal and external audiences.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, agency-specific, and contractual standards and regulations.

  • Apply industry best practices using PMBOK®, Agile, or Hybrid project management methodologies, as appropriate.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 8+ years of project and/or program management experience.

  • At least 7+ years supporting State or government agency projects.

  • 6+ years of experience leading large-scale, complex IT projects.

  • Proven experience managing multi-year, multi-million-dollar projects ($5M+).

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent platforms.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working directly with State agencies.

  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and DOJ-specific guidelines.

  • PMP® certification from PMI (or equivalent).

  • Agile certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe, or similar).
