Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead supply chain-focused projects end-to-end: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, resource requirements, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, risk registers, communication plans, and change control processes.
- Facilitate Steering Committee / Executive Sponsor meetings and ensure timely status reporting, escalation, and issue resolution.
- Monitor KPIs and metrics to measure project performance, identify variances, and drive corrective actions.
- Strategic Supply Chain Management
- Align project objectives with broader supply chain strategy and overall business goals.
- Identify and prioritize supply chain initiatives (e.g., cost reduction, process improvement, risk mitigation) through strategic planning workshops.
- Lead change management efforts to implement transformation across the organization, ensuring stakeholder buy-in and adoption.
- Develop business cases (cost-benefit analyses, ROI) for strategic initiatives and improve decision-making for project investment.
- Design and deploy supply chain performance metrics (inventory turnover, lead times, supplier performance, etc.) to drive continuous improvement.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, demand planning, quality, and finance teams to ensure project alignment and smooth execution.
- Liaise with external vendors/suppliers for supplier development, negotiations, and to ensure projects stay on track.
- Coordinate with IT / ERP teams for systems implementation, enhancements, and integrations (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP modules).
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, providing clear communication, managing expectations, and resolving conflicts.
- Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and assess supply chain risks (supplier risk, demand variability, inventory risk) and implement mitigation strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to optimize supply chain processes.
- Capture lessons learned, document best practices, and contribute to the development of a “project playbook” for future initiatives.
