:
Project Manager/Leader - Level 2 Toronto, ON Start Date: 2021-01-04 End Date: 2021-08-31 Must-haves: Experience in leading projects within an Agile methodology The Project Manager is responsible for the following activities: Provide expertise to all aspects of the project(s) related to compliance with the established methodology, i.e. Agile, Waterfall Co-ordinate and manage tasks related to completion of integrated project schedules and activities Establish and lead project governance activities including client facing steering committees Provide regular written status reports Participate in status meetings as required Work with a team comprised of both employees and consultants Ensure knowledge transfer to full-time staff. Resource may be assigned to additional projects as required. Deliverables include (but not limited to): Coordinate multiple project activities and task assignments Maintain project plans and schedules Maintain issues and risk logs Provide status reports to steering committees Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables Identify, resolve and/or escalate issues as necessary Adhere all required corporate project management standards Chair regular status meetings with project team leads and clients Supporting security review and Risk Mitigation Response activities. Maximizing Knowledge transfer from 3rd party providers Manage mandatory hardware (Hosting Environment) remediations Manage platform refresh/migration Manage mandatory software upgrades Skill Set Requirements: Communication and mediation skills to liaise with clients and resources to ensure Client projects are progressing according to schedule Experience gathering and developing requirements in order to create and maintain a detailed project schedule and/or integrated plan. Experience sourcing, selecting and on-boarding team members in various disciplines, and clarify roles & responsibilities and set task/deliverable/performance expectations for resources. Experience developing complex project budgets based on multiple funding channels and cross ministry dependencies. Ability to effectively manage large project budgets and ensure a high level of fiscal control and accountability including estimates, forecasts and reconciliation/confirmation of actuals. Demonstrated ability to proactively identify potential risk events and issues before they occur so that proper mitigating strategies can be developed. Able to articulates and prioritize issues and risks at senior executive levels and recommend mitigation strategies for decision makers. Experience establishing and participating in steering committee and stakeholder forums. Experience providing, project, program, and/or portfolio reporting to multi-stakeholders at senior executive levels. Demonstrated ability to use appropriate strategies and actions to overcome resistance to change and capitalize on forces in support of change during all stages of projects - concept, definition, planning, implementation and close-out. Knowledge of OPS I&IT standards and best practices for project management to facilitate control of system quality, adherence to standard methodology and the control of the use of I&IT resources. Knowledge and understanding of Project Management's Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge, Agile Methodologies Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Content Management Strong team building, consensus building and relationship management skills Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills Experience in the use of project management software Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines and delivering high profile, high risk, complex initiatives
