Note

Assignment Type: This position is currently listed as "Onsite" due to COVID-19 related WFH direction. Once OPS staff are required to return to the office, the resource under this request will be required to work onsite as well.

The Level 1 Project Manager will:

Support one or more Project Managers or Portfolio Leads in the management of activities on various projects.

Perform day-to-day project coordination and administration activities such as tracking, reporting, and facilitating resolution of issues and risks, following up on action items, taking meeting minutes, updating project schedules using MS Project Online.

Work collaboratively with other groups to ensure optimal integration as required.

Assist in the creation of project artefacts, including scorecard updates, status reports, and provide input to management reports

Perform analysis using tools such as Excel.

Assist project managers with day to day tasks.

Complete work and achieve milestones within the assigned deadlines.

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

All roles procured are required to be cleared through the Contractor Security Clearance Process of the OPS. Clearance levels are as follows: Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) level 2 for Project Manager (PM)/Business Analyst (BA)/Architects roles and OPP level 4 for technologist roles.

Security Clearance process, levels, roles etc. are subject to change without prior notice. Candidates may be required to undergo revised/new process (or levels) anytime prior or during the term of the contract.

Criteria 1: Project Management and Coordination Skills

Criteria 1 Points: 45 points

Criteria 1 Details: Demonstrated experience in I&IT project management.

Experience creating and maintaining project management artefacts/project collaterals, such as project schedules, risk, issue & action logs, briefing notes, status updates & reports.

Experience with meeting facilitation, meeting minute creation, action item tracking & follow-ups.

Experience working with both the business and technology teams.

Demonstrated experience in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Criteria 2: Communication and Relationship Management

Criteria 2 Points: 30 points

Experience developing & presenting briefing notes, status reports, project communications, team & executive presentations.
