Job Title: Project Manager: Infrastructure
Location: Plano, TX
Duration: 6 Months+
• Degree or higher education in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
• Must have overall 10+ years of experience in IT filed and at least 4+ years as Project manager on Big Data Eco System and at least one of the cloud platform Azure/AWS/GCP.
• Good Communication skills.
• Good understanding on Azure DevOps and cloud admin tasks.
• Experience as an IT-Project Manager large and complex projects, preferably in the retail/health care industry.
• Practical experience/expertise on DevOps ticketing tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA and Service-Now.
• Solid understanding of project management processes.
• Experience working on Big Data projects – with Hadoop and Cloud.
• High-level understanding of data-related technologies, i.e., Databases, SQL, ETL processing, industry- standard analytics tools, etc.
• Strong MS Office skills
• Fluent written and spoken in English.
• Excellent communication/presentation (oral and written) and report writing skills.
• Experience leading technical teams & achieving results in a project context using resources.
Technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure Analytics stack and design patterns (Azure Data Factory, Azure ML Studio, Azure stream/IOT analytics, Synapse, Azure Kubernetes Service etc.).
In case they don’t have exposure to Microsoft Azure Analytics, then it can be substituted for Amazon Web Services (AWS) analytics stack (AWS Kinesis, AWS RedShift, AWS DynamoDB, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon S3 etc.)
Customer obsession, Ownership, Bias for Action. We want someone who can talk with various business stakeholders, collect and refine requirements, has a penchant for documentation and has good communication skills (written and verbal)
Responsibilities:
• Responsibility to plan and manage budget, resources, and milestones.
• Responsibility to create detailed business use cases, cost, and implementation planning.
• Responsible for the successful and timely implementation of all IT relevant tasks associated with this project.
• Manage projects to deliver against agreed scope, on time and within budget.
• Project status reports will need to be maintained and communicated.
• Project risks and issues log will need to be maintained and communicated, with appropriate escalation as required.
• Identify and document issues, gaps, and concerns of the users.
• Build a list of requirements needed to address these issues.
• Managing Project Budgeting & Finance
• Managing Platform Tools (SW & HW) licensing, budgeting and cross charging.
