Role Profile

Our Firm is undertaking a multi-year TM program to modernize its Technology, Architecture, and Practices to enhance the productivity of Technology staff in their delivery. The program is seeking a Project Manager to support the Program Manager in overseeing this program.

We are seeking a Project Manager who is an experienced consultant with expertise in engaging and driving a large book of work across a wide variety of areas, including planning, financials, risk management, talent processes, management information, reporting and streamlining our operations.

The successful candidate should bring strong organizational skills and high-level understanding of technology and technology teams gained through significant exposure in prior roles.

Candidates should also be able to work across geographies, levels and domains, create strategic insights and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Chair regular meetings with the product owners and scrum masters in support of the Tech Strategy to capture key risks and issues, agree mitigation strategies, and track progress with their owners.
  • Develop a high-level plan aligned to the key initiatives with agreed milestones and approximate target dates.
  • Partner with scrum masters to drive progress on key milestones and ensure regular progress.
  • Produce monthly reports for consumption by senior management highlighting achievements, progress against key milestones, and key risks or issues that place the program at risk.
  • Support the program manager in organizing governance presentations (e.g., bi-monthly steering committee) to review key decisions required by the program including developing the presentation materials, and organizing speakers.
  • Ensure the program’s key decisions are well socialized and documented for future reviews by the firms’ control functions.
  • Aid the program manager in capturing resource requirements for the program as it scales up, the financial requirements of the program, and tracking spend against the approved.
  • Support the organization and facilitation of periodic organization events, e.g., offsites, town halls.
  • Identifying interconnections across the organization with an eye toward process optimization, to streamline efforts, avoid duplication, and promote consistency.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational skills, with demonstrable project management experience.
  • Well-developed stakeholder management skills at all levels of the organization, including working with technical SMEs.
  • Ability to manipulate and synthesize data, presenting analysis and insights to management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, able to produce high quality content.
  • A broad understanding of the technology function / division in driving the business.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global organization.
  • The successful candidate will have 5+ years’ experience, ideally in a large enterprise environment.

Desired Skills

  • Financial Services or Professional Services experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Agile practices & / or Project Management certifications a plus.
  • Strategy, or Business Management profiles with technology group experience could be strong candidates.
  • Super user in 0365 suite - specifically PowerPoint, Teams.
