Job Description :

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support LIRR Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) implementations from the initial business analysis, system requirements and system design functions.
  • This position will play a primary role in managing projects from the initial kick-off meeting, requirements, design, development, testing, implementation and support of the LIRR HxGN EAM System.
  • Design, configure, implement and deploy HxGN EAM software solutions that have been configured to accommodate unique transit industry operating and management processes, regulatory requirements and other business needs
  • Provides solutions to complex business problems for area(s) of responsibility where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
  • Support and develop activities related to end-to-end project management, including project plans and estimates, scoping and requirements through initiation to implementation and deployment
  • Consult on Asset Management best practices (encompassing maintenance, inspection, and reliability) leveraging the capabilities of the HxGN EAM application (both core and mobile)
  • Facilitate and lead requirements gathering workshops with the ability to identify and analyze business needs
  • Develop gap analysis of current/desired business process and system capabilities
  • Design solutions incorporating out-of-box functionality and/or collaborative solution design with technical teams for custom functionality
  • Identify areas of system optimization based on business processes
  • Support the development of system reporting solutions based on business needs (in the form of Queries, Inboxes, KPIs and Dataspys)
  • Support the creation, validation, execution and documentation of test cases
  • Assist in the development of end-user training and reference materials
  • Support end-user training
  • Support the implementation go-live and post-go-live activities
  • Support requests from users to research system problems or errors, and to assist in their resolution
  • Provide technical evaluation of proposed technical solutions and provides technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration work including mobile

RiskS (required by MTA Risk Management)

  • Describe the type of work consultant: Desk work only (however, there may be a need to visit user locations which may include track; RWP training would be provided as a mandatory prerequisite)
  • whether any work will be performed within 50 feet of track right-of-way (yes or no) NO
  • Whether the work may involve areas with environmental risks (lead, asbestos) -- substantial or minimal (yes or no). NO

DELIVERABLES & Due dates

  1. Support HxGN integration with other corporate systems
  2. Project manage HxGN EAM projects for LIRR assets registry and work management needs.

Qualifications EXPERIENCE & eDUCATION

  • Minimum 10 years Project Management experience.
  • Minimum 5 years HxGN EAM experience, v 11 and higher
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in EAM implementations
  • Minimum 5 years enterprise asset management system delivery services, leading solution development teams
  • General knowledge in extending HxGN EAM through Extensibility Framework
  • General knowledge in implementing FlexSQL to achieve business needs
  • Experienced in Work and Asset management functions of HxGN (Work Orders, Planning, Equipment, etc.)
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project
  • Ability to modify/adapt systems, applications, and programs to meet business requirements.
  • General understanding of complex relational database organization, design, and functionality
  • Experience in desktop / mobile computer support and troubleshooting software related problems
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skill in relating technical information to non-technical personnel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, a self-starter
  • Excellent inter-personal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
