Job Description
Our Dallas-based manufacturing client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the end-to-end migration from Salesforce.com to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE). This individual will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and risk management to ensure the migration is completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead overall planning, scheduling, and management of the CRM migration project.
Define and maintain project scope, deliverables, milestones, tasks, and timelines.
Manage and coordinate with third-party migration vendors, ensuring alignment with schedule and budget.
Provide leadership and motivation to project team members; establish and manage staffing plans.
Collaborate with internal and external project managers and technical leads.
Conduct risk assessments and develop/implement mitigation strategies.
Translate business requirements into functional/technical specifications; ensure the solution delivery team has clear and complete understanding.
Oversee organizational change management, including user training, testing, data migration, cutover planning, and go-live support.
Drive communication plans, run weekly status updates with stakeholders, and provide clear reporting on progress, risks, and issues.
Ensure compliance by partnering with internal audit to gather and maintain required documentation.
Monitor data quality and integrity to ensure consistency and accuracy across the enterprise.
Confirm that project goals meet business needs and are delivered successfully.
Transition the system to steady-state IT operational support, ensuring thorough handoff documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
5+ years of IT project management experience with complex, enterprise-level technology projects.
PMP certification strongly preferred.
Proven experience leading cloud-based CRM migrations Salesforce to Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE experience is highly desirable.
Experience with Dynamics 365 Field Service module is a plus.
Strong project financial management acumen; skilled at managing project budgets.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira).
Excellent skills in planning, communication, team motivation, and delegation.
Track record of successfully managing complex, cross-functional technology projects from inception through operational transition.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
