Job Description
:
Title: Project Leader / Scrum Master / Tech Navigator Location: Toronto, ON Job Type: Fulltime Job Description: Leads the execution of day-to-day project and task oriented work efforts and meeting customer expectations for contracted time, cost and specification definitions. Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately. Operationalizes technical and managerial processes and supervises the development and maintenance of business support systems. Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed. Leads a team of IT professionals (direct reports and contractors) and is responsible and accountable for reporting solution delivery. Leads the team in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard development methodologies. Negotiates IT project requirements (i.e. deadlines, budgets, resources, etc. Builds and maintains solid, professional working relationships with peers within the project management and business lines. Meets scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner, has an in-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing software solutions. Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or technical equivalent 5 - 7 years technical work experience (SQL, JCL, SAS, J2EE, Oracle) Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Strong Agile practices experience Tools JIRA, MS Excel VBA and other tools Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and client relation skills Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives Technical designations/formal training an asset.
