Position : Program Manager

Location ; Prefer consultants who reside in the west coast and central US and GA preferred. Regardless of location, consultants will be required to work Arizona business hours.

Duration : 12 MONTHS





The Program Manager (PgM I) is accountable for the Program objectives. They define strategic areas of responsibility including, but not limited to reassigning and restructuring of significant organizational resources. They influence and sponsor cross-organizational decisions on work prioritization, resource allocation and long range standards of performance. The PgM I is active in planning, implementing and managing change for the organization. Assesses the impact of enterprise-wide change and builds contingency plans to support change efforts. Communicates planned change and participates in activities that promote organizational change. PgM I is expected to work autonomously and have minimal interaction with HR/Project Leader with regards to program management methodology.

When collaborating, the expectation is an awareness of items that will have project outcome implications other than expected, as well as validation of project delivery recommendations.

PgM I’s are assigned to complex initiatives of significant scope, organizational impact and budget.

They are a contributor on strategic initiatives.

They must be able to manage business sponsor relationships and navigate the political landscape.

PgM I directs by exception and is expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of the project management lifecycle methodology.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages the program management principles. Has a demonstrated and proven background in program management principles, techniques and best practices.

Oversees Project Managers and Coordinators as they prepare and manage documentation, deliverables, milestones, resources, schedules and budgets.

Requires demonstrated ability to launch and deliver a Program(s) comprised of multiple complex projects. Manages to program management principles.

Adhere to Dignity Health Project Management Methodologies as defined within the IT Project Management Guide. Oversight in preparation of project documentation, deliverables, milestones, resources, schedules and budgets

Not required to have HR responsibilities

QUALIFICATONS:

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience

5+ years of experience in supervising and building relationships with people at all levels

PMP Certification preferred

Understanding of Finance and Accounting principles in relation to budgeting, purchasing and analyzing financial results.

Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project & Word WHEN POSTING
