Title: IT Operations Production Support / Network & Infrastructure - Cloud Engineer I

Location: W. Conshohocken, PA On-Site

Long Term Contract

Responsibilities

• Experience provisioning, automating, operating, and maintaining systems using common AWS technologies like VPC, EC2 instances (Windows and Linux), Elastic Beanstalk, Load Balancers, Docker, RDS (SQL Server), S3, and more utilizing industry's best practices.
• Experience with monitoring AWS services.
• Ability to support initiatives to harden Operating System following CIS and NIST security controls. Working knowledge of Windows Server, Windows Active Directory, GPOs, and Linux OS required.
• Experience with performing OS and Software upgrades on a regular patch schedule strategy.
• Experience with DevOps processes and procedures including hands on support of CICD implementations (Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and other automation. Familiarity with overall Agile implementation.
• Experience with backing up all AWS resources including RDS.
• Ensure technical solutions meet the needs of business such as cost, performance, and security.
• Experience with Infrastructure as code utilizing AWS Cloud Formation to automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment.

Minimum Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, related fields or commensurate work experience.
• 5+ years project experience providing support for AWS cloud solution
• 5+ years building, implementing and supporting Amazon Web Services infrastructure and technologies.
• Project experience implementing core infrastructure, networking and cloud-based services for business teams or consumers.
• Deep product knowledge and understanding of product features including:
  • AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform
  • IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS Solutions
  • Containers, Docker, Virtualization, VMware, Citrix
  • Hybrid Cloud Solutions
  • Automation and DevOps (Git, Jenkins, CLI, ARM, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• An understanding of cloud ecosystem and leading-edge cloud emerging technologies including:
  • Configuring and tuning cloud hosted solutions and platforms.
  • Supporting production applications or workloads in a cloud-based environment
  • Performance analysis, troubleshooting and remediation techniques
  • Encryption and key management principles and design patterns
  • Networking principles and technologies (DNS, Load Balancers, Reverse Proxies).
  • Microsoft Active Directory and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS).
  • Single-sign-on (SSO) solutions including SAML and OAuth authentication options.
  • High Availability and Disaster Recovery principles, patterns and usage.
  • Sizing hardware and storage needs.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a project team with limited supervision.
• Experience working on Agile projects (Scrum or Kanban).
