Role: Principle/Senior project manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Senior project manager responsible for coordinating efforts to handle day-to-day project needs. Works on projects of medium to large scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Keeps project plans and coordinates project definition and delivery across multiple teams. Creates, maintains and delivers executive-level status presentations. Decision-making and independence is involved but limited. This position requires highly collaborative nature between multiple groups. 7-10 years of Project Management experience with ERP background is a MUST (preferably PeopleSoft)

QUALIFICATIONS Required: Experience working with Agile, work with fellow Agile enthusiast to set the standards. Solid understanding and working experience with Jira. Solid 7-10 + years of experience in Project Management in the Information Technology sector Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills Solid knowledge of Agile processes and at time coach other teams on the practices Able to influence multiple stakeholders in a positive manner that involves negotiation skills for the best outcome for the organization Organizing projects and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the GTS organization. Creating and managing short/medium/long term goals for the planning and execution. Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement. Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services. Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle. Analyzing program risks. Bachelor degree

Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of turn around. Excellent written and verbal communication skills - This is also must have skills due to the nature of the work. Works on projects of medium to large scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Keeps project plans and coordinates project definition and delivery across multiple teams Creates, maintains and delivers executive-level status presentations. Decision-making and independence is involved but limited. This position requires highly collaborative nature between multiple groups within Verizon.

Desired: PMP, Agile certification a plus Strong working knowledge of Google Suite using GSheets, GDrives, GDocs, GSlides etc. Knowledge of HR Payroll IT technical and operational landscape a plus
