Teamcenter Admin _ Data Migration

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Teamcenter Data Migration Engineer to lead and execute end-to-end data migration activities between legacy PLM systems and Siemens Teamcenter. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), deep understanding of Teamcenter data models, and experience using migration tools, scripting, and APIs to ensure accurate, efficient, and validated data migration.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, and implement data migration strategies from legacy PLM systems (e.g., Enovia, Windchill, Agile, or custom PLMs) to Teamcenter.
  • Analyze source and target data models and define mapping and transformation rules.
  • Develop and maintain data migration scripts using tools such as ETL frameworks, PLM XML, TcDataFileImport, BMIDE, or Teamcenter Gateway (T4S/T4O).
  • Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, and loading into Teamcenter environments.
  • Execute trial migrations, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance during test and production phases.
  • Collaborate with PLM architects, administrators, and business users to validate data accuracy and completeness.
  • Document migration processes, scripts, and data validation reports.
  • Provide post-migration support and ensure successful data verification and reconciliation.
  • Participate in Teamcenter upgrades or rehost projects involving data movement.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 6+ years of overall experience in PLM systems, with at least 3+ years in Teamcenter data migration projects.
  • Strong understanding of Teamcenter data model, BMIDE, and architecture.
  • Experience with Teamcenter import/export utilities, PLM XML, TcDataFileImport, SOA, and ITK customization.
  • Proficiency in SQL, scripting languages (Perl, Python, Shell, or PowerShell) for ETL and automation.
  • Familiarity with Teamcenter versions (10.x, 11.x, 12.x, or Active Workspace).
  • Experience with CAD data migration (NX, CATIA, Pro/E, SolidWorks) is a plus.
  • Exposure to Teamcenter Integration for SAP (T4S) or Oracle a plus.
  • Good problem-solving and debugging skills in large-scale enterprise migration scenarios.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Siemens Certified Teamcenter Professional or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with cloud or containerized Teamcenter deployments (AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices for migration automation and CI/CD.
