Position: IT Quality Assurance and Software Reliability Lead
Location: North Chicago, IL
Duration: 6 +Months

Description:
The role of the QA Leader includes planning, monitoring, and control of the testing activities and tasks. The QA leader manages processes and personnel to conduct quality assurance testing and drives the migration from manual testing to automated testing. QA leader develops effective and efficient methods, and tools and communicates with development teams to provide an automated, reliable, consistent, and positive testing experience. Should be able to manage cross functional testing teams for a large scale, global business transformation program. This role also includes leadership in adoption of software reliability principles and designing and developing systems for reliability, performance, accuracy and supportability.

Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all testing aspects of a global, enterprise wide FP&A system implementation (ASPIRE) program including SIT, UAT, End-to-End Integration, and Performance Load Testing
Coordinate with Technical and Business Leads to ensure comprehensive plans are developed and executed.
Ensure QA and Testing environments are set up properly to enable accuracy in testing.
Lead efforts to automate functional testing with a goal of automating 80% of the scenarios.
Drive adoption of strong SRE principles including designing and developing for availability, failover, performance, risk management, monitoring and alerting, and capacity planning. Lead efforts to ensure that the systems are scalable, stable and predictable.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
3+ years’ experience in lead software engineering and operations role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and influencing skills.
Passion for technology as well as helping customers and team members.
2+ years’ experience working with IBM FP&A Tools.
Experience of test planning, execution and maintenance of automated test suites at the System Integration test level
Experienced with automating functional and performance testing. Should be well versed with tools to be used for test automation and performance testing.
Experienced with implementing proactive monitoring and alerting
