JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. The PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 Upgrade Project Lead Engineer provides technical designs and systems engineering for the PeopleSoft Project along with programming expertise, leadership, and technical skills.
2. The PeopleSoft Financials Lead Engineer, in partnership with architecture and the Application Delivery team, sets the direction and plans the technical aspects of the project.
3. The PeopleSoft Financials Lead Engineer needs to be able to combine technical design skills, strong engineering expertise, excellent communication skills and broad business knowledge to successfully install, configure and develop customizations and integrations with other systems.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
1. Large PeopleSoft Financials upgrades, preferred 9.2 upgrade experience
2. Knowledgeable with PeopleSoft Systems, financial operations, including asset management, the general ledger, project costing and billing
3. API First Design; Interfacing through Middleware Product (Mulesoft) and PeopleSoft Middleware
4. Experience using Pfire and implementation experience a plus
5. PeopleSoft tools and PeopleCode
6. Oracle Databases (knowledge of PL SQL to interpret logic to ensure it is in new system)
7. Architect background - high level point of view
8. Project Lead experience; working with Supplier(Oracle), third party implementation vendors and OPPD technology and business partner teams
9. Training for the purpose of knowledge transfer to both technical and functional resources.
10. CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) and Release Management
11. Automated testing
12. Technical direction and guidance
13. Documentation and communication at all levels
14. Expert-level knowledge and implementation of complex, enterprise-scale applications, including but not limited to software design, API design, development and lifecycle management, middleware, security, database, and identity management.
15. Agile methodologies and execution.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Analyze technical needs, requirements, and state of the Application delivery infrastructure design, integration, and operations for the existing PeopleSoft Financials product, Work with chosen vendor to identify gaps and develop plans and designs to successfully implement the 9.2 upgrade for the PeopleSoft Financials modules.
2. Implement chosen code repository tool and assure all existing code is successfully moved into the tool.
3. Support project procurement activities, engineering analysis, quality evaluations and consideration of vendor solutions
4. Ensure configuration standards, procedures and operational system parameters are developed, documented and implemented
5. Communicate all concepts and guidelines successfully to the Application delivery team and provide written documentation to support the understanding and knowledge transfer.
6. Ensure alignment with technical leadership, Application delivery standards, OPPD Architecture standards, and security practices.
7. Provide technical guidance and coaching to members of the Application delivery team
8. Collaborate across the organization towards OPPD goals and objectives related to the PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 Upgrade Project.
